The climate & soil of this district is extremely suitable for sericulture. Bahraich is a very undeveloped district in terms of medium and large scale Industries. Industries based on Agricultural & Forest products exist here.
There are two sugar mills. One in Nanpara and other in Chilwaria. Besides sugar mills there are many rice & Daal mills. Daal Mills of Bahraich are quite famous for the quality of daal produced by them.
